Write Right~Corsets in 1912

If you want to hear the women in my family groan, just ask, "You wanna go shopping with me for undergarments?" None of us like to shop for them, and wearing them can be a pain (for real).

But looking at this ad for corsets from Woman's World, November 1912, I find myself grateful for the freedoms of the garments I wear nowadays. I can't imagine being buckled into something like this and trying to eat, let alone breathe.
